Paleolithic and Neolithic era

The paleolithic era was in between 200,000-12,000 years ago. During this time the homo sapiens were living in small groups that consisted of 20-25 people. This led to a couple of factors including the separation of roles such as the gathers and hunters this was not as even as I had originally thought. The gathers provided 70% of the food while the hunters brought the other 30%. The homo sapiens during this time had a non destructive interaction with the environment. Stone tools were used for simple tasks such as cutting.

Migration is a crucial part of civilization, during this time it is somewhat proof that humans had always had a drive to explore unknown areas. The migration out of Africa was the first step taken into the massive spread of people in all of the continents except Antarctica.

The neolithic era was a time in which we out competed all species of homo. This was due to the fact that there was a series of new complex stone tools. Some of these tools had an impact with the settlement of agricultural communities. During this time people started to own things which made people evolve in an defensive way. This basically means that people obtained things as they grew smarter but also made them more aggressive because they had to protect the things that they had obtained. While some people got better at doing things than others, such as farming or gathering people started to become specialized and this led to some people having surplus and that led to social hierarchy.
